2-day Pottery Workshop - Designed for beginners
Get hands-on experience shaping clay on pottery wheel by an expert potter @ Yellow Soul Potter.
You’ll be guided through the basics of wheel throwing including centering the clay, opening it up,
pulling up the walls and pitting in the neck of the pot. By the end of the workshop, you’ll be able to
make your first clay articles.
The workshop is designed for beginners so no prior experience is required. Participants get to take
home their carved creations.

About the Artist:
Rashi is a self-taught artist of pottery and ceramics and runs Yellow Soul Pottery in Bir. At 30, she
ditched her conventional life and moved to Himalayas with her 7-yr old daughter. While she tried to
re-shape her new life, shaping clay proved to be of great therapeutic help. Now she shares her
creative gift with like-minded pottery enthusiasts.
Itinerary:
Day 1
8:00 am - 9:30 am: Arrive at the House of 5-Elements
9:30 am – 10:30 am: An enticing breakfast platter
11:00 am: Meet your fellow participants and pottery expert
12:00 pm: Learn some pottery basics
1:00 pm: Delicious and healthy lunch
2:00 pm – 4:00 pm: Demonstrations on clay preparation, wheel throwing and centering the clay
5:00 pm: Free time
Relax, read or enjoy nature trails
7:00 pm: A scrumptious dinner
Day 2:
7:30 am – 8:30 am: Morning Hatha Yoga Asana Class
9:30 am – 10:30 am: An enticing breakfast platter
11:00 am – 1:00 pm: Hands-on-practice to enable participants to start creating basic pots
1:00 pm: Delicious and healthy lunch
2:00 pm – 4:00 pm: Free time

5:00 pm: Farewell and departure
